Election Commission asks Bellary ministers to appear before it
Bellary (Ktaka), Feb 16 (PTI) The Election Commissiontoday asked mining magnates -- the Reddy brothers -- and theiraide to appear before it on March 11 on a complaint seekingtheir disqualification for holding office of profit.
Notices were served on Tourism Minister G JanardhanaReddy, his brother Revenue Minister G Karunakara Reddy andtheir business associate Health Minister B Sreeramulu.
The notices were based on a complaint filed byCongress leaders V S Ugrappa and K C Kondaiah who alleged thatbesides being in the ministry they were also engaged in thebusiness of mining.
The complaint was submitted to Governor H R Bhardwajwho had forwarded it to the Election Commission.
