Tihar Jail - Raja's new kingdom
At first, Raja was forced to resign from his ministerialship over 2G spectrum scam. Then he was Raja has been accused of misusing the "first come first serve policy" during 2G spectrum allocation in 2008. Raja allegedly twisted the rules to benefit a few companies, especially Swan and Unitech.
The nation has experienced a loss of whopping Rs 1.76 lakh crore over the whole 2G spectrum scam. According to the CBI report, Unitech and Swan together have allegedly cost the government Rs 7, 195 crore.
CBI has, so far, arrested Raja's personal secretary RK Chandolia, former telecom secretary Siddharth Behura and DB Realty promoter Shahid Usman Balwa regarding their alleged roles in the scam.
