MWC: HTC Flyer tablet unveiled- Specs & Review

Barcelona, Feb 16: It seems like most of the manufactures are focusing for the tablet revolution. After the launch of Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1, another tablet has been announced at the ongoing 2011 Mobile World Congress (MWC) in Barcelona. Taiwan based smartphone maker HTC unveiled their Android tablet HTC Flyer.

Despite of its Android 2.3 Gingerbread operating system, HTC Flyer is enough to powerful to compete with Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1 and Motorola Xoom, which run on 'tablet only' Android 3.0 Honeycomb OS. This new HTC tablet has a 7-inch touchscreen display to provide never-before entertainment experience.

HTC Flyer is powered with 1.5GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon CPU which makes it tough guy to perform HD videos on display that supports 1024x600 pixel resolution. It provides a 5 megapixel camera at rear part and a 1.3 megapixel camera at front for video chatting.

Other features include 32 GB in-built memory, HTC Sense UI, Bluetooth, HSPA network support etc.

HTC is also planning to launch a Wi-Fi only variant for the HTC Flyer tablet. HTC has not yet announced the official release date and price of HTC Flyer tablet. We can expect this new tablet in Mar 2011 in stores. Stay tuned for more updates.
