MWC 2011: Dell unveils 10-inch Android tablet

Dell unveiled a new 10.1-inch tablet running on Android 3.0 Honeycomb operating system at the MWC 2011. Dell has not yet announced the full specifications of this tablet. Dell officials said that the new tablet will be available by the last of second quarter of 2011.

Earlier, during the Dell Means Business event in San Francisco, company announced a 10.1-inch tablet running on Microsoft Windows 7 OS. According to various reports, both these tablets will have same features.
It seems like tablet market will see acute competition among the new tablets to get more users. Even though the Apple iPad still controls the market, there is great opportunity for Android tablets. Understanding the popularity of Galaxy Tab, Samsung came up with another 10.1 inch tablet to compete with Motorola Xoom.
Likewise, HP announced a tablet TouchPad and LG showed their G-Slate tablet. At the same time, we heard the rumors of Apple iPad 2 and even iPad 3 doing rounds. Some other manufactures like ViewSonic and Acer also brought tablets. It will be a tough competition for Dell Streak 10.1 to get users.
