Proposed strike by bus owners untimely: Federation
Kozhikode, Feb 15 (PTI): The Kerala State Private BusOperators Federation today said they would not join theproposed indefinite strike call given by private Bus OwnersJoint Action committee from February 17.
Speaking to mediapersons here, K A Abdullah, President,Kerala State Private Bus Operators Federation alleged theproposed strike was ''unwanted'' and ''untimely''.
The strike call given in the name of joint action committeewithout naming the organisation, was only to ''betray'' busowners, he alleged.
Meanwhile, in a release here, Kozhikode unit of the BusOperators Organisation, said it would support the strike.
Among the demands of the bus operators are increasingstudents fare and announcement of a transport policy, astatement from Bus Operators Organisation, Kozhikode unit,said today.
