Anil Ambani at CBI headquarters
New Delhi, Feb 17 (PTI) Reliance Infocomm head AnilAmbani today appeared at the CBI headquarters and remainedwith the agency officials for nearly two hours in connectionwith the probe in the 2G scam.
Ambani''s visit pertained to the agency seekingclarification on certain documents relating to Swan telecom.
Reliance Infocomm had 9.9 per cent equity in SwanTelecom before Swan applied for new licence for 2G spectrum.
Swan was promoted by DB Realty group headed by ShahidUsman Balwa, who is at present in CBI custody.
The CBI is probing the the financial trail between SwanTelecom and DMK owned Kalaignar television.
An ADAG statement said, "during the course of hisweekly visit to New Delhi, Ambani "met CBI officials today toclarify ongoing issues, relating to telecom matters for theyears 2001 to 2010, and virtually every telecom operator inthe country".
It said no summons of any kind have been issued by CBIto Ambani.
The ADAG statement said, "neither Relinace Telecom norRCOM nor any Reliance ADA Group individual, company oraffiliate held even a single share in Swan Telecom Ltd at thetime of grant of the 2G licence to them in january, 2008, orat any time thereafter"..
