21 dogs found dead in Akola

Akola, Feb 15 (PTI) As many as 21 dogs were foundpoisoned to death in the old city over the last few days,according to police.

While some were stray dogs, some were pets and a doglover Suresh Raut filed complaint with the police after hecame across the dying dogs .

Akola Municipal corporation has also taken cognisanceof the incident and sent the relevant samples to GovernmentMedical Laboratory in Nagpur to determine the cause behindthe death of so many dogs.

Sources said it could be the work of some people whowere not able to bear with the dog menace in the area andmight have poisoned the dogs.
