Netgear launches 10GE Managed Switch in India

The new 10GE Managed Switch will reinforce Netgear's commitment to providing smart IT solutions for mid-size enterprise customers. This new product will have less cost and complexity issues as compared to the traditional enterprise vendors.
Netgear said that the XSM7224S is designed for those businesses, which require enterprise class performance at a traditional mid-market price. This product will be used as a top of server rack switch, giving a significant improvement in application performance and server response. This product could also be used as a high performance core switch with layer 3 and 4 capabilities for mid-sized enterprises.
"Customers are demanding Smart IT as a result of an increased focus on costs in the global economic recovery. Today"s announcements further illustrate NETGEAR"s commitment to delivering reliable, affordable, and simple solutions for midmarket business customers," said Atul Jain, Country Manager (India), Netgear.
The ProSafe 24-port 10GE Managed L2+ Switch (XSM7224S) has a list price of Rs 6.6 Lakhs and will be available through Netgear authorized distributors in the Indian market.
