Over 70 pc polling recorded in Chg bypoll
Raipur, Feb 14 (PTI) About 70 per cent polling wasrecorded in the bypoll at Sanjari Ballod assembly constituencyin Chhattisgarh''s Durg district today, officials said.
No incident of violence was reported during the polling,though there was a clash between workers of two parties inGurur village which was brought under control soon, they said.
The bypoll was necessitated due to the death of sittingMLA Madan Lal Sahu of BJP.
The main battle here is between BJP candidate Kumaribai,who is Sahu''s wife, and Congress contestant Mohan Patel.
The counting of votes will be done on February 17.
There are 187 polling booths in the constituency,including 27 sensitive and six hyper-sensitive, the officialsaid.
