Mubarak suffering from critical health problems?

Hosni Mubarak
Cairo, Feb 14 : Ousted Egyptian president Hosni Mubarak, 82, is suffering "critical" health problems and is still in Sharm al-Sheikh, local media reported on Feb 15.

Mubarak is suffering "critical" health problems after stepping down, Ahram online said.

Quoting informed sources, it said that Mubarak was still in the Egyptian Red Sea resort of Sharm al-Sheikh under medical care. It has not been decided yet whether he will be hospitalised, it said.

Mubarak had surgery in Germany last year to remove his gallbladder.

Meanwhile, Egypt's ambassador to the United States also said that Mubarak may be in "bad health."

Speaking on NBC's "Today" programme, Sameh Shoukry said he had received information that Mubarak was "possibly in somewhat of bad health." Shoukry said he could not be more specific, AP reported.

It quoted another Egyptian newspaper as reporting that Mubarak was refusing medication, was depressed and repeatedly passing out at his residence in Sharm al-Sheikh.

Mubarak's 30-year reign over the Arab world's most populous country came to an end after 18 days of nationwide protests organised by a loose conglomeration of young activists demanding democratic change.
