Medium sugar moves up on better demand

Mumbai, Feb 15 (PTI) Medium sugar prices moved up furtherat the Vashi wholesale market here today on increased retailofftake.

Meanwhile, small sugar variety witnessed a mixed patternof trading due to alternate bouts of buying and selling.

Medium sugar quality (M-30) edged up by Rs five perquintal to Rs 2,821/2,896 from its overnight closing level ofRs 2,821/2,891.

Small sugar quality (S-30) were quoted at Rs 2,771/2,836as compared to Rs 2,780/2,831 yesterday.

The following are today''s closing rates per quintal, withthe previous rates in brackets:

Small sugar (S-30) quality Rs 2,771/2,836 (Rs 2,780/2,831) and medium sugar (M-30) quality Rs 2,821/2,896 (Rs2,821/2,891).
