HCL opens Global Enterprise Mobility lab in Singapore

Bangalore, Feb 15 (PTI) HCL Technologies Ltd, a leadingglobal IT services provider, today unveiled its GlobalEnterprise Mobility laboratory in Singapore.

The laboratory, which would spearhead HCL�s globalresearch and development efforts towards enterprise mobilesolutions, was inaugurated by HCL Vice-Chairman and CEO,Vineet Nayar, a company statement said.

"The 35,000 sq ft Jurong facility is designed to exploitthe advantages of being in Singapore -- Asia�s business hub tobuild and nurture a robust mobile ecosystem", it said.

HCL, which already has more than 1,000 engineers basedout of the facility, would work closely with the government ofSingapore to ensure the lab is a milestone in the Infocommauthority�s vision of building a vibrant infocomm ecosystemthere, the company said.

�To excel in the mobile application world requiresleadership in product engineering, laser focus on consumerexperience and an entrepreneurial ecosystem of clients,partners and developers that sustains the innovation momentum.

Our Mobility Lab in Singapore will be the nerve center forfurther augmenting HCL�s capabilities in all these areas�,said Virender Aggarwal, President and Head of Rest of Worldregion for HCL.

The laboratory was inaugurated in the presence of T C ARaghavan, High Commissioner of India to Singapore and JaysonGoh, Director of Infocomms and Media, of Singapore�s EconomicDevelopment Board.
