Four students kill friend over money dispute
Latur, Feb 14 (PTI) Four students studying in ClassXII allegedly murdered their friend after kidnapping him overa money-related dispute here, police sources said.
The deceased, Suraj Ram Gaikwad, was a Class IXstudent. His friend Yogesh Piple, studying in a local college,accompanied by Kishor Datar, Balaji Barkate and Vilas Adawade,took him to a nearby dhaba'' (roadside eatery) last evening.
They had their dinner together and after that theyforced Suraj to accompany them to Navkund Zhari village, wherethey strangled him and stuffed his body in a sack and threw itin a lake, they said.
Yogesh and Suraj were having some dispute over money,the sources said.
Though the accused are juvenile, they are alsoinvolved in other crimes like stealing bikes, they said.
Police have recovered the body and sent it for postmortem, said Inspector Gopal Ranjankar.
