Four accidents in Andhra claim 14 lives, 17 injured
Hyderabad, Feb 15 (PTI) As many as fourteen personsincluding ten women were killed and 17 others sustainedinjuries in four separate road accidents that occurred indifferent parts of Andhra Pradesh today, police said.
Four women were killed and 14 others (all farm labourers)injured when a speeding lorry hit an auto they were boardingnear roadside in Gooty mandal in Anantapur district thismorning, they said.
In another incident, six persons including four women andone child were killed and three others suffered injuries whenthe auto in which they were travelling was involved in ahead-on collision with a lorry near I B Bunglow in Alladurgammandal in Medak district around noon, police said.
Two sweepers were run-over by a car near KBR park inBanjara Hills here in the wee hours, police said adding boththe women identified as Laxmamma and Eshswaramma died in themishap.
While two persons were killed when two lorries collidedhead-on near Boyapalli village in Tanduru mandal of Adilabaddistrict, police said.
