Badal rules out political victimisation of bureaucrat

Batala, Feb 14 (PTI) Punjab Chief Minister ParkashSingh Badal today ruled out politically victimisation of IASofficer Krishan Kumar who was transferred to Health and FamilyWelfare department.

Talking to reporters during ''Sangat Darshan'' programmeat Sri Hargobindpur town near here, he lauded Kumar''s role inschool education and described him as an honest officer.

Director General of School Education, Krishan Kumarwas yesterday transferred as Special Secretary of Health andFamily Welfare, National Rural Health Mission.

Badal clarified that Education minister Sewa SinghSekhwan never asked him for Kumar''s transfer.

Sources said that Kumar was shifted following hisdifferences with the education minister.

The chief minister also refused to reply queries onthe PSC recruitment of 312 doctors, saying the case ispresently in the Punjab and Haryana High Court.

Meanwhile, main opposition Congress soughtcancellation of transfer of the bureaucrat.

The abrupt transfer of the IAS officer has completelyblown the lid off the SAD-BJP government''s so calledcommitment to clean governance, a Punjab Congress spokesmansaid at Chandigarh.
