Warm day for Delhi
New Delhi, Feb 13 (PTI) A bright sun made it a bit hotfor Delhiites today as mercury remained well above normallevel, signalling the possibility of an early arrival ofsummer.
The weatherman has predicted rains and thundershowers inthe city tomorrow accompanied by isolated hails and squall insome areas. The temperature is expected to be between 13 and25 degrees.
The mercury rose to a maximum of 28.8 degree Celsiusduring the day which was six degree above normal for thisperiod of time while the low was recorded at 13.6 degrees,four degrees above normal.
Yesterday, the temperature oscillated between 11.6degree Celsius and 26.8 degrees.
According to MeT statistics, the record for the highestmaximum for the month of February was 34.1 degree C --recorded on the 26th of 2006. The record minimum is 1.6 degreeC recorded on 9th in 1982.
In the last decade, the minimum dropped below 5 degree Ctwice. In 2002, the minimum dropped to 2.9 degree C onFebruary 2, while it dropped to 3.7 degree C on February 4,2001.
