Two arrested for killing pet hornbill
Aizawl, Feb 14 (PTI) Two persons accused of killing apet hornbill were arrested and sent to jail custody here,officials said today.
These residents of Zemabawk locality near here werearrested by the officials of the state environment and forestdepartment were sent to jail custody by a local court onSaturday, officials today said.
The hornbill, owned by Zairema of Chaltlang localitywas killed by two persons on February one which triggeredpublic outcry.
The hornbill, fondly called ''Zika'', was speciallyloved by children who would bring extra food like tomato tohand feed the hornbill.
