Revenue Dept official suspended for taking bribe
Mainpuri (UP), Feb 14 (PTI) A revenue department officialhas been suspended for allegedly accepting a bribe of Rs 8,000from a beneficiary of Kanshiram Urban Housing Scheme.
Acting on a complaint, District Magistrate Ranveer Prasadhas suspended accountant Mahabir Prasad for allegedlyaccepting the bribe. A case has also been lodged against him,Sub-Divisional Magistrate Jaishanker said.
The orders were given after Pramod Kumar, thebeneficiary, complained to the DM during his Nagla Kiratvisit, that accountant Prasad had taken money from him toallot a house in the scheme launched by Uttar Pradesh ChiefMinister Mayawati.
