Rauf throws challenge at IUML Leader

Kozhikode,Feb14 (PTI) Continuing his attack on IUMLleader P K Kunhalikutty,his relative K A Rauf, who levelledallegations against him on the ice cream parlour sex racketcase, today challenged him to reveal how he was ''blackmailed''and what benefit he (Rauf) had gained by doing so.

Speaking to reporters here, he wanted Kunhalikutty toclarify on the matter.

Kunhalikutty had earlier alleged that he faced a threat tohis life from Rauf and he had sought to blackmail him.

The case pertains to allegations of using an ice creamparlour in Kozhikode as a cover for luring girls into a sexracket.

On the allegation that he had conspired with Chiefminister''s office in the ice cream parlour sex scandal case,Rauf said "if it was proved at least for once, I will acceptwhat you say."

Rauf had earlier alleged that there had been attempts tosabotage the case to avoid Kunhalikutty getting listed as anaccused in it.

Though Kunhalikutty had never been made an accused in thecase, he had to resign as Industries Minister in the then UDFgovernment in 2005 after one of the alleged victims draggedhis name into the scam.

The case was later dismissed by the court for want ofevidence against the accused in the case.
