'Qureshi to face disciplinary action for humiliating PPP leadership'
Islamabad, Feb 14(ANI): Former Pakistan Foreign Minister Shah Mehmood Qureshi has no future in the Pakistan People's Party (PPP), according to PPP Information Secretary Fauzia Wahab.
Wahab's comment comes after Qureshi rejected the Water and Power Ministry offered to him in the new cabinet.
"Serious disciplinary action will be taken against him for violating the party discipline and humiliating its leadership," the Dawn quoted Wahab, as saying.
The Information Secretary further said that Qureshi had ditched the party leadership, and it was not the first time that he had done so.
Wahab claimed that Qureshi's role as Foreign Minister over the past three years had been questionable, adding that he did not support President Asif Zardari when he faced criticism in the media over his foreign trips.
She said that despite all his past acts, the party leadership had decided to include him in the new cabinet.
Qureshi was not among the 22 ministers sworn in on February 11 as part of the 'right-sized' cabinet, that was put together in place of the over-sized ministry of the past three years. (ANI)
