Notorious goonda detained

Bangalore, Feb 13 (PTI) An history-sheeter, under judicialcustody, has been detained under the provisions of KarnatakaPrevention of Dangerous Activities of Bootleggers,DrugOffenders, Gamblers, Goondas, Immoral Traffic Offenders andSlum Grabbers Act, 1985.

The detenu Ravi started his criminal activities in 1991with a attempt to murder case in Bangalore City and has beeninvolved in 14 criminal cases till date,a police release said.

This included two murders, three attempt to murder andtwo dacoity cases.

"Any amount of action under law in existence has failed todeter him from indulging in serious bodily crimes against aninnocent public.Ravi has therefore been detained to maintainpeace and order and for the safety and security of the generalpublic," it said.
