Girl commits suicide

New Delhi, Feb 13 (PTI) A 14-year-old girl allegedlycommitted suicide in the capital, apparently due to her auntscolding her for talking over phone and not concentrating onher studies, police said today.

The incident was reported from Mandir Marg area at around6 pm yesterday and the victim has been identified as Amme.

She was staying with her aunt who is working as a nursein Ram Manohar Lohia hospital.

"She was talking to someone over phone when her auntscolded her and advised her to concentrate on her studies. Shewas upset with the scolding and apparently due to this, shehanged herself," a senior police official said.

No suicide note was recovered.
