Eight drug dealers arrested

Lucknow, Feb 14 (PTI) Eight members of a gang dealing indrugs have been arrested and contraband worth several croreswas recovered from them in Ghazipur district, a senior policeofficer said here today.

The eight persons were arrested from Fateullahpur villagein Ghazipur district yesterday and two kilograms heroin worthRs two crores in the international market was recovered fromtheir possession, Special DGP Brij Lal said.

Those arrested were identified as Manoj Kumar Singh,Indal Chauhan, Dhirendra Chauhan, Munna Giri, Shiv Kumar, HariLal Chauhan, Durvijay Chauhan and Ramashanker Maurya.

"The arrested accused revealed that they smuggledcontraband from Bihar and supplied it to Varanasi, Azamgarhm,Mau and Ghazipur districts," the SDG said.
