Charas worth Rs 4.62 cr seized in Nashik; two Tibetans held
Nashik, Feb 14 (PTI) National Narcotics Branch (NNB) ofMumbai today arrested two Tibetans and seized 66 kilo ofcharas (cannabis) estimated to be worth Rs 4.62 crore fromtheir possession after raiding three shops in the city''sTibetan market, police said.
On a tip off, a special squad of NNB arrived in the cityearly this morning and broke open three shops and recovered 66kilo of charas kept there, police said adding the shops werelater sealed.
The two accused identified as Tsering Tobaanee aliasJilebibhai (45) and Taming Sinon alias Chhotubhai (44) wereproduced before a local court this evening, which remandedthem in police custody till February 23.
Police suspects that the narcotics was brought fromLadakh.
