2011 MWC: Samsung Galaxy Tab2 10.1 arriving

Barcelona, Feb 13: Amid the rumors and leaks, Samsung has officially confirmed the launch of Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 ahead of 2011 Mobile World Congress (MWC) in Barcelona.

Various technology blogs have reported the detailed specifications and features, and even the image! of upcoming Samsung Galaxy Tab. A Korean website has published the pictures of this new tablet, hours before the official launch. Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 or the Galaxy Tab 10.1 runs on Google Android 3.0 Honeycomb OS, which is specially designed for tablets.

Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 has a 10.1-inch display screen and boasts a 8 megapixel camera at rear. This new Honeycomb tablet is powered with 1 Ghz dual-core application processor.

It is expected that the 2011 MWC will reveal more tablets and powerful smartphones. We can expect more Honeycomb tablets from various manufactures. Recently, the tablet market has been witnessing intense competition with emerge of new tablets like HP TouchPad, Motorola Xoom, RIM PlayBook etc. In near future we can expect iconic Apple iPad 2 and the rumored iPad 3.
