Shivraj Singh Chouhan ends hunger strike after PM's assurance
Bhopal, Feb 13 (ANI): Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan called off his indefinite hunger strike here on Sunday after assurances from the Prime Minister, Dr. Manmohan Singh, that the Centre will address the issues raised by the state government.
According to reports, Chouhan sat on a fast this afternoon to highlight several demands made by the state, which were pending with the Central Government.
After ending his fast, the Chief Minister told his supporters that the Prime Minister as invited him for a meeting in New Delhi on February 20.
Chouhan had also written a letter to the Prime Minister and asked for his intervention in addressing the issues concerning Madhya Pradesh. (ANI)
