Ramdev''s security vehicle kills two in Assam
Mongoldoi (Assam), Feb 13 (PTI) Two persons were crushedto death by the security vehicle of Yoga Guru Ramdev heretoday, police said.
The mishap occurred at the weekly market area of JanaramChowk when Ramdev''s security vehicle belonging to SeemaSurakhsa Bal (SSB) ran over and killed two people on the spot.
Ramdev, currently on a visit to the state since February7, however, moved on to attend a nearby yoga camp underSipahjar police station area.
The deceased were identified as Harakanta Dutta (45) andSitinath Sharma (35), police said.
Angry crowds gathered both at the accident spot as well asthe Mongoldoi Civil Hospital where the bodies were taken forpost mortem.
Police swung into action and brought the situation undercontrol. The vehicle was seized but no arrest has been made sofar.
Meanwhile, Ramdev''s office denied the report.
"The news is absolutely baseless," Ramdev''s spokesman S KTijarawala said in a statement.
