Mother kills children

Jind, Feb 13 (PTI) A mother allegedly killed her twochildren by giving them poison in Sandeel village of thedistrict today, police said.

On a complaint by the grandfather of the deceased --Ankush (5) and Sonu (9), the police has registered a case ofmurder against their mother Sayani Devi.

The complainant Dhoop Singh in his complaint alleged thatSayani Devi gave poison to her children and left the home.

Both the children were admitted to a private hospital atKaithal, where they died.

A domestic dispute between Sayani Devi and her husbandCharan Singh is believed to be the cause behind the crime,they said.

The police has registered a case against Sayani Devi andalso against some relatives of the children for cremating themwithout a postmortem.

No arrest has been made so far.
