Minimum temperatures rise in Punjab, Haryana
Chandigarh, Feb 13 (PTI) Cold conditions abated inPunjab and Haryana with the minimum temperature rising by uptoseven degrees Celsius above normal in the region.
Minimum temperatures hovered between seven degreesCelsius above normal to three degrees Celsius above normal inPunjab and Haryana, the Met office said here today.
Narnaul was coldest with a low of 10.5 degreesCelsius, which was, however, four notches above normal.
While Bhiwani settled at a low of 10.6 degreesCelsius, the minimum temperature at Amritsar was 12 degreesCelsius, six notches above normal.
Among other places, Karnal settled at a low of 12.4degrees Celsius, three notches above normal followed by 13degrees Celsius at Gurgaon, six notches above normal, 14degrees Celsius at Ludhiana, six notches above normal and 15degrees Celsius at Patiala which was seven degrees Celsiusabove normal.
Chandigarh had a low of 15.2 degrees Celsius, sevennotches above normal.
Besides, certain pockets of the region also receivedrainfall. Chandigarh had trace rainfall followed by 1.2 mm atLudhiana and 2.3 mm at Amritsar.
The Met office has forecast fall in night temperaturesat few places during the next two days.
