Left parties lauch agitation against corruption

Patna, Feb 12 (PTI) CPI and CPI-M today launched astat-wide agitation against corruption and price rise inBihar.

"Nitish''s oft-repeated declaration of war againstcorruption in Bihar is nothing but farce. There is rampantcorruption prevailing in schemes for execution of MNREGA,Indira Awas Yojana, mid-day meal scheme for children,appointment of panchayat teachers, nyay mitras and Anganwadiprogramme," State CPI secretary Badri Narayan Lal and hisCPI-M counterpart V K Thakur said.

They were addressing hundreds of CPI and CPI-Mactivists who staged a day-long sit in near Kargil Chowk hereto protest against corruption and price rise.

They said the two Left parties would launch a state-wideagitation against corruption and price rise in Bihar.
