Lakshmaiah to attend electoral reforms conference
Hyderabad, Feb 12 (PTI) Andhra Pradesh Minister forInformation Technology and Communications, Ponnala Lakshmaiah,will attend the Southern Chief Ministers'' conference onelectoral reforms in Bangalore tomorrow.
The conference is being organised jointly by the ElectionCommission of India and Union Law Ministry to discuss a widerange of issues like electoral reforms, decriminalisation ofpolitics, fund raising and expenditure by political parties,effective conduct of elections, implementation ofanti-defection law, auditing of accounts of political parties,etc.
Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister K Kiran Kumar Reddy, whowas supposed to attend the conference, dropped his plan anddeputed Lakshmaiah in his place.
