Four cops suspended for killing a woman in Hingoli

Aurangabad, Feb 12 (PTI) The Hingoli Superintendent ofPolice has suspended four cops including a sub inspectorinvolved in the killing of a woman bootlegger in the Bhosivillage near here.

The woman was thrashed to death early this month.

The accused forcefully entered the house of VimalbaiGokulprasad Jaiswal (45) while pursuing a case and assaultedher. She died on the spot leading to scuffle between the copsand the villagers.

The autopsy conducted on the deceased woman found thatthe woman died as her ribs were damaged and she sufferedhemorrhage establishing that she died due to police thrashing.
