Drugs worth Rs 26 lakh seized by Rajkot police

Rajkot, Feb 13 (PTI) Two persons have been arrested forbeing in possession of heroin and opium worth over Rs 26 lakhin the international market, police said here today.

One Valli Musa Bloach was arrested with 20 gm of heroinin Gondal town of the district late last night and hisinterrogation led the police to another man, Ghanshyam Sharmafrom Popatpara area of Rajkot city this morning, said policeinspector V B Jadeja.

Jadeja said that 297 gm of heroin and 102 gm of opium,worth of over Rs 26 lakh in international market, were seizedfrom Sharma''s possession.

Both Bloach and Sharma have been booked under NarcoticDrugs and Psychotropic Substances Act (NDPS), Jadeja added.
