All arrangements made for tomorrow''s by-election in Manipur

Imphal, Feb 13 (PTI) All arrangements have been made fortomorrow''s by-election to Konthoujam assembly constituency inManipur''s Imphal West district, state election office saidtoday.

Altogether 25083 voters will exercise their franchise toelect their representatives at 28 polling stations in theconstituency, which is about 20 kms from here, from 7 amtomorrow.

The voting would end at 3 pm, sources said.

Three candidates are in the fray - S Ranjan (Congress), KSarat (Trinamool Congress) and Kh Ranjit (Independent).

The seat fell vacant due to the death of former assemblyspeaker S Budhichandra who is the father of Congrees nominee SRanjan.

Police and para military forces would be sent to allpolling stations tomorrow morning, sources said.
