40 injured on way to CPI-M rally

Burdwan (WB), Feb 13 (PTI) About 40 CPI-M supporters wereinjured, one of them seriously, in a road mishap nearShaktigarh on way to the party''s Brigade rally in Kolkatatoday.

Of the 40 injured, 26 were rushed to Burdwan MedicalCollege and Hospital, where the condition of one of them wasserious, police said.

The mishap when the mini truck in which they weretravelling from Katwa in Burdwan district hit the divider ofDurgapur Expressway near Shaktigarh while trying to overtake abus.

The mini truck overturned after hitting the dividerinjuring those in it, the police added.
