Woman files complaint against former union minister

Rajkot, Feb 12 (PTI) A woman, who claims to be the wifeof former Union Minister of State for Railways Naran Rathwa,has lodged a complaint with police in Amreli, accusing Rathwaof "harassing her physically and mentally".

No FIR has been filed in this connection yet, policesaid.

Rekhaben Vaghela, the woman, has stated in the complaintthat she is married to Rathwa, a Congress leader, and filed acase in family court for maintenance sometime ago.

Since then, Rathwa, with the help of local Congressleaders and police, started harassing her "physically andmentally", she says.

Vaghela alleged that she was not allowed to leave herhouse in Amreli on one occasion when she was due to appear inthe family court.

Police are conducting further probe.
