Three persons killed, as many injured in two mishaps

Katihar/Patna, Feb 11 (PTI) Three persons were killedand as many injured in two road accidents in Bihar''s Katiharand Patna districts, police sources said.

Two were persons killed and another injured when ajeep in which they were travelling collided with a truck onNH-31 near Gorgama chowk under Kodha police station in Katihardistrict, the sources said.

One person was killed and two others injured when amotorcycle carrying them collided with a tractor near DanapurBhusoula village under Phulwarisharif police station in theoutskirt of state capital, Phulbarisharif police stationin-charge S.M. Hashmi said.

Local people took to the streets and set on fire atruck to protest against rash driving by the tractor driverthat caused the death of the motorcyclist, he said.

Additional policemen have been deployed to bring thelaw and order situation under control, Hashmi said.
