Twitter Android app gets update

New York, Feb: One of the most widely used social networking platforms, Twitter has announced the launch of updated Twitter App for Android mobile devices. The updated version will provide a all new interface that looks and feels more like other official Twitter applications and provides a more consistent experience across platforms and devices.

The new Twitter app for Android mobiles will allow users to browse Twitter even without signing in. The new layout makes it fast and simple to navigate Twitter. While signing in, users will see time-line, along with icons along the top that allows to view @mentions, messages, and lists.

"You can use Twitter for Android even if you haven"t signed in or don"t have an account. You can view trends, browse your interests and see suggested users in several categories, including fashion, entertainment and travel, or search to find out what people are saying about topics you care about, such as big sporting events. You can now also sign up for Twitter from within the app," Twitter said in its website.

The Universal Search option allows Twitter users to find, Tweets with the term they are looking for, Tweets sent by people near the users location, or people whose user names include that term, while they search.
