Son of former BJP MLC shot dead by kin in Nagpur

Nagpur, Feb 12 (PTI) Dr Prashant Nakade, son of formerBJP MLC Indutai Nakade from Armori in Gadchiroli, was shotdead in a broad day light by his relative in Kalamana areahere today.

Police said Dr Rajendra Kashiram Kapgate (52) who isa brother-in-law of Indutai Nakade, fired two rounds from hisrevolver at Prashant outside a wedding hall following a minorspat.

A mass-marriage was taking place at the hall.

Nakade sustained serious injuries and was rushed to aprivate nursing home where he was declared dead on admission.

The accused, Rajendra Kapgate, has been arrested by thepolice and the pistol has been seized from him, police said.

Further probe is on, they added.
