Search on to nab escaped undertrial prisoner

Muzaffarnagar, Feb 12 (PTI) In an attempt to nab anundertrial prisoner, who escaped while being escorted to Delhifor a court hearing, Uttarkhand police raided his residencehere, officials said today.

Amit Malik alias Bhura, a resident of Muzaffarnagardistrict, allegedly escaped from police custody on February 8while being escorted from Dehradun to Delhi where he was to beproduced in a court.

Following this, the Uttarkhand police launched a hunt tonab the prisoner and raided his house here.

Police has also arrested the three constables, who wereescorting the prisoner, said officials.
