Mini mobile hospitals for rural poor says Sreeramulu

Bijapur, Feb 11 (PTI): The Karnataka Government would soonintroduce 104 mini mobile hospitals in the state under theVajapayee Aryogyashri scheme, health minister B Sreeramulu ysaid here today.

Inaugurating the scheme in Bijapur district, he said suchhospitals aim to help poor patients in rural areas by takinghealth care to their doorsteps.

This Vajpayee Arogyashri scheme is being implemented in 13districts of North Karnataka and the government has inked anagreement with 140 super specialty hospitals to treat poor BPLpatients for upto Rs two lakh, he said, adding that thegovernment had so for spent Rs. 36 crore on the scheme.
