Bogus driving license racket busted; 12 arrested

Mathura, Feb 11 (PTI) Police today claimed to have busteda racket preparing bogus driving licenses by arresting twelvepersons near old ARTO office near here.

"Twelve persons have been arrested and thousands ofbogus driving licenses, blank and filled forms, laptop,printer, computer, seals, CDs have been recovered from fivecentres running racket near old ARTO office," SSP BhanuBhaskar said.

On the basis of news that appeared in a section of pressin Delhi stating that bogus driving licenses prepared fromMathura were recovered from some people during an interviewin Delhi, few persons were sent to get some bogus licensesprepared.

"Five teams were sent to nab the culprits after theactivities of the racket were confirmed. They were preparingthe license without address verification. It was establishedthat one of the suspended employee of ARTO office was alsoinvolved in the game," Distt Police Chief said.
