Those converted should not get benefit of reservation: Togadia

Mandla (MP), Feb 10 (PTI) Vishwa Hindu Parishad''sinternational general secretary Praveen Togadia said heretoday that converted tribal should not get the benefit ofreservations.

Apparently referring to tribal people who haveembraced Christianity, Togadia said, "Converted tribal shouldnot get the benefit of reservations at any cost."

Togadia was addressing three-day-long ''Narmada SamajikMahakumbh,'' a congregation of tribal, saints, RSS and BJPworkers on the banks of river Narmada in this tribal districtof the state organised on the occasion of Narmada Jayanti.

He also called upon the Hindu community to remainunited for the sake of the country and termed the congregationas important for the social harmony.

Addressing the gathering RSS Supremo Mohan Bhaghwatsaid that whenever the people forgot their Hindu origins,the fear of "disintegration" occurs.

He called upon the participants to learn and spreadwhatever they learnt here from the saints and intellectuals.

Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister, Shivraj Singh Chouhansaid that the Centre instead of expressing concern overgrowing corruption and terrorism is worried about thiscongregation which is aimed at promoting social harmony amongthe people.
