Select base metals decline on lower demand, copper recovers
Mumbai, Feb 11 (PTI) Led by tin select base metalsdeclined at the non-ferrous metal market here today on subdueddemand from consumer industries.
Meanwhile, copper prices recovered marginally owing tofresh demand from stockists and industrial users amidst risingtrend in London Metal Exchange (LME).
Tin prices plunged by Rs 25 per kg to Rs 1,660 fromovernight closing level of Rs 1,685 and Nickel dropped by Rs10 per kg to Rs 1,355 as against Rs 1,365 yesterday.
Brass sheet cutting eased by Rs 2 per kg to Rs 320 fromRs 322 previously.
Lead and aluminium utensils scrap both softened by arupee per kg to Rs 117 and Rs 106.
However, copper cable scrap, copper wire bar and brassutensils scrap all edged up by Rs 2 per kg each to Rs 474,Rs 502 and Rs 313 respectively.
Copper scrap heavy and copper armiture inched up by rupeeper kg each to Rs 465 and Rs 454.
