School student kidnapped
Ambala, Feb 10 (PTI) An 8-year-old student of Army PublicSchool in Ambala Cantonment was kidnapped from Defence Colonytoday when he was returning home from school, the police said.
Vansh is a student of class II and resides in DefenceColony. His father is a regional head in a marketing company.
As soon as he alighted at Defence Colony from the schoolbus, one of the persons, sitting in a car there, came out ofit and forcibly took him in the vehicle.
One of the cycle repair mechanics raised an alarm and afew persons, who were present there at that time, attempted tochase the car which however escaped.
Sources said it might not be a case of ransom as theparents of the child have not received any ransom call so far.
In March, 2009, a student of Delhi Public School,Panipat, Tejas, was kidnapped by unidentified persons when hewas going to school.
The police have not been able to trace either Tejas or hiskidnappers.
