RJD MLA gets bail

Gaya(Bihar), Feb 11 (PTI) A court here today granted bailto RJD MLA and former state minister Surendra Prasad Yadav inconnection with the firing at Anugraha Narayan MagadhMedical College (ANMCH) in Gaya town on January 30.

Additional District and Session Judge S K Rai allowed thebail application of Yadav and asked him to furnish a bond ofRs 10,000 with a surety of like amount to secure release.

Yadav had last week surrendered before the courtfollowing an indefinite strike by junior doctors at themedical colleges and hospitals across Bihar seeking hisimmediate arrest in connection with the incident.

His two bodyguards, currently lodged in judicial custody,had opened fire at ANMCH injuring three junior doctors afterthe MLA had a heated argument with junior doctors over thetreatment of a dalit woman on January 30.
