Industrial oils continue to rise on firm demand

Mumbai, Feb 11 (PTI) Castorseed bold and castoroilcommercial continued to rally at the oils and oilseeds markethere today on rising demand from shippers and industrialusers.

Castorseeds futures also flared up owing to sustaineddemand from stockists and exporters.

Meanwhile, refined palmolein moved down slightly due tolower retail offtake. Groundnutoil held steady on thin trade.

In the non-edible oil segment, castorseeds bold rose byRs 50 per 100 kg to Rs 6,000 from Thursday''s closing levelof Rs 5,950 and castor oil commercial moved up by Rs 10 per 10kg to Rs 1,230 as against to Rs 1,220 yesterday. Linseedoilremained unchanged at Rs 710 per 10 kg.

Turning to futures section, castorseeds for Marchdelivery resumed higher at Rs 5,280 and jumped to finish at Rs5,413 as compared to Rs 5,259 previously, showing a sharp gainof Rs 154 per tonne.

Moving to edible segment, refined palmolein eased by Rs 2per 10 kg to Rs 608 from overnight closing level of Rs 610.

Groundnutoil closed unaltered at Rs 765 per 10 kg.
