Heroin worth Rs 5 crore recovered in Jammu
Jammu, Feb 11 (PTI) Jammu and Kashmir Police todayrecovered one kg of heroin, worth Rs five crore in the blackmarket, and arrested one suspected smuggler with cannabis inseparate incidents.
In the first incident, the heroin was recovered from abushy area in Domana area here, a police officer told PTI.
As per preliminary investigation, smuggler Mangal Dasshad left the contraband and escaped from the spot after policegot the inputs, he said.
No one was arrested, but a case has been registered inthis connection.
Elsewhere, suspected smuggler Sajad Baba was arrestedfrom a Tata Sumo vehicle, which was on its way from SouthKashmir to Jammu, on Jammu-Srinagar National Highway at Kud,100 kms from here, police said.
Sleuths seized 600 grams of cannabis from him.
A case has been registered and investigation startedinto it, they said.
