Workers of CPIM farmer''s body arrested
Tiruvallur(TN),Feb 10 (PTI) Members of a CPI (M)-affiliatedfarmers'' body, spearheading a movement against formerKarnataka High Court Chief Justice PD Dinakaran in an issue ofalleged land grab, and others were arrested today when theytried to conduct a ''land distribution'' movement at his nativevillage in Thiruvallur district.
A total of 180 men and women including members of the AllIndia Kisan Sabha (AIKS) were arrested at Kaverirajapuramvillage, police said.
They had been maintaining that the nearly 200 acres of''''recovered'''' land from Dinakaran were yet to be distributedamong the landless SC/ST community members.
Those arrested included AIKS state president K Balakrishnanand its district secretary B Thulasi Narayanan.
