Thailand is okay if UNESCO inspects its ''conflict temple''

Bangkok, Feb 10 (TNA) Thailand supports UNESCO''sinspection of the Preah Vihear Temple along the Thai-Cambodianborder after a series of crossfire erupted between ThaiandCambodian border troops, Thailand Deputy Prime Minister hassaid.

Suthep Thaugsuban, the Deputy PM, acknowledgedyesterday that it is good for the UN organization to prove thetruth, after the troops of the two nations exchanged acrossfire last Friday.

Thaugsuban who oversees national security, wasresponding to United Nations Educational, Scientific andCultural Organization''s proposal to inspect the Preah VihearTemple which has long been a cause of dispute between the twonations. (TNA)
